Wedding Pet Attendant Care
Care and handling for pets taking part in weddings and special events throughout the Monterey Peninsula.
Including your pet in your wedding can make the day feel even more personal, but it also means someone needs to look after them throughout the event. Chasin’ Your Tail Pet Care provides wedding pet care and pet attendant services so your pet can be part of the celebration without becoming another responsibility for you (or a friend or family member) on your wedding day.
I’ll work with you ahead of time to understand your schedule, your pet’s routine, and how you want them involved.
Your pet may only be part of the wedding for a short time, but they’ll still need care before and after they join the celebration.
They may need a walk before arriving, someone to stay with them between photos, fresh water, a bathroom break, or a safe place to relax once their part of the day is finished.
A wedding pet attendant gives one dedicated person responsibility for those details. That means you, your family, and your wedding party can stay focused on the celebration instead of figuring out who is holding the leash.

One Less Thing to Manage on Your Wedding Day
Including your pet should add something special to the day, not create another job for you or someone in your wedding party.
Before the Ceremony
Your pet can get the exercise, attention, and care they need before it is time for them to join the celebration.
During Photos
I can stay with your pet between photos, keep them nearby when needed, and give them a break when they need one.
During the Ceremony
If your pet is part of the ceremony, we can plan ahead for when they need to arrive, where they will be before their role, and what happens once they are finished.
After Their Part Is Done
Once your pet is no longer needed at the event, I can continue caring for them according to the plan we set up in advance.
Planning Around Your Pet, Too
A wedding can be a very different environment from what your pet is used to. There may be new people, a different schedule, and more activity than usual.
Before the wedding, I’ll learn about your pet’s personality, routine, and comfort level so I know what to expect and how you would like their care handled.
Tell me about their normal feeding and walking schedule, how they do around groups of people, anything they tend to avoid, and what helps them settle down when they need a break.
We can plan their involvement around what they’re comfortable with and what you want for the day. I can also make adjustments the day of, based on how your pet is doing.
Planning Your Wedding Pet Care
Let’s make the perfect plan for your pet so you can enjoy your big day.
1 - Tell Me About Your Wedding
Share the date, location, venue, general schedule, and how you would like your pet to be involved.
2 - Tell Me About Your Pet
I’ll want to know about their personality, normal routine, feeding schedule, walking needs, and anything else that could affect their experience at the event.
3 - We Plan the Details
We’ll go over when I take over care, where your pet needs to be, what responsibilities I’ll handle, and how everything fits into the wedding schedule.
4 - Enjoy Your Wedding
On the day of the event, I’ll follow the plan we discussed and focus on your pet while you focus on everything else..
What Pet Owners Are Saying
“Kendra was wonderful with our dog Kola on our wedding day. She stayed with him at home while we got ready and made sure he got plenty of exercise, and then brought him to our venue so we could enjoy some pre-ceremony cuddles together. We knew he would be overstimulated staying during the ceremony, so she drove him back to our neighbor’s house after we got to spend some time with him. It meant the world to us to have someone trustworthy watching our boy on this magical day. Kola clearly trusted her too, and we would definitely recommend Kendra to anyone considering pet sitting, on their wedding day or otherwise!”

Working Around Your Venue and Schedule
Every venue has its own rules for pets, so it’s a good idea to confirm where your pet can go and when they’re allowed on-site.
Once we know the venue requirements, I can coordinate my part of the day around your wedding timeline. I’m also happy to work with your planner or venue coordinator so everyone knows when your pet arrives, where they’ll be, and when I’m responsible for their care.
